Whereoware, an award-winning digital experience agency, announced today the addition of Eric MacKenzie as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
This strategic hire to Whereoware’s executive team reinforces their commitment to marrying powerful technology, strategic activation, and business consulting to deliver elevated customer experiences.
As CTO, MacKenzie will lead and grow Whereoware’s custom development and technical services team and expand technology practices across Optimizely, Salesforce, WordPress, and Acquia Drupal.
“As a digital experience agency, we need leaders who share our obsession with blending the right technology and optimization strategies to consistently advance meaningful client outcomes. We’re thrilled to welcome an executive of Eric’s caliber to direct, build, and deliver best-in-class digital solutions, while extracting value out of every investment.” said Whereoware CEO Michael Mathias.
Mackenzie brings nearly 20 years of technology leadership and platform expertise, including Optimizely, Adobe, Sitecore, Acquia Drupal, and more.
With leadership roles at technology firms like ICF Next and Capgemini, MacKenzie has led digital transformation and experience-driven marketing technology initiatives for some of the world’s leading brands, such as Pentair, McDonalds, Thompson Reuters, Honeywell, Bayer, and Boston Scientific.
“I’m excited to join Whereoware and their award-winning technology team,” said MacKenzie. “I share Whereoware’s point-of-view that powerful technology enables great digital experiences, but only when it’s implemented and optimized correctly. I look forward to helping clients maximize their MarTech investments and tap into every opportunity, while ensuring the highest levels of technical excellence and quality assurance are built into every project.”
MacKenzie joins Whereoware at a pivotal time in their agency evolution. In July, Whereoware successfully acquired a user experience (UX) consultancy and continues to invest in people and platforms to meet the demands of the booming digital customer experience market.
