Project Manager/Account Executive

Whereoware, a rapid growth Northern Virginia website development and marketing company, seeks a Project Manager/Account Executive with proven track record managing website design and development. This self starter will be responsible for supporting new/existing customers and managing the development of custom websites and web applications from concept to deployment. You will take the lead working with customers and communicating with the project team. You will respond to customer calling with support issues or change related tasks. In this position, you will be required to develop detailed technical scope and specification documents for customer engagements, and assist in the development of proposals. On an ongoing basis, you are required to evaluate expenditures, revenue potential, and resources for each project. Your strong technical skills and web experience will allow you to consistently be aware of upgrade opportunities within existing engagements, or new opportunities within a customer’s organization. You will monitor work flow and deadlines. You will be responsible to track and report related results, and continue to hone the projects so that it meets or beats our customer expectations. After initial deployment, you will continue to manage the account to insure customer satisfaction and account profitability. Proactive enhancements and upgrades are a portion of the overall responsibility.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required

  • Strong communication skills, and customer-ready presentation skills.
  • Ability to help clients understand Whereoware’s Internet technologies and how they can benefit.
  • Strong technical writing skills, and professional proposal development skills.
  • Strong project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Project Management Certification is a plus.
  • Demonstration of customer expectation management and experience in scope creep containment.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, ASP, .Net, and SQL is required.
  • Strong working knowledge and proficiencies utilizing Microsoft Project, PowerPoint and Excel (in addition to proficiency in standard MS Office programs.)
  • Minimally 2 or more years of Project Management experience is required.
